ABOUT 

Chrissy Charboneau is an artist currently living in northern Virginia. Originally hailing from New Jersey, Chrissy graduated from the Maryland Institute, College of Art with a B.A. in Fine Art, Painting.

In 1998, Chrissy co-founded the Blue Elephant Art Center in downtown Frederick, Maryland - an independent, artist-run cooperative studio and gallery. From 1998-2003, she was an exhibiting studio member and helped organize, curate, and promote shows and events. Chrissy participated in member group shows several times a year and exhibited solo in 1999, working primarily in abstract painting and collage. 


After a hiatus, Chrissy returned to painting in 2015. Her recent work has shifted to representational, focusing on landscapes and small nature studies. Over the last few years Chrissy has participated in several informal pop-up art and craft shops and markets in Alexandria and Loudon County, Virginia, as well as entering the 2018 Waterford Fair juried art exhibit, where one of her paintings won third place in watercolor. 

Chrissy is currently a member of the Del Ray Artisans Gallery and the Art League Gallery at the Torpedo Factory, both located in Alexandria, VA.
